Tutor Recitals: An Afternoon and Evening of Music
Our annual Tutor Recitals recently transformed Â鶹´«Ã½AV into a hub of music-making, with more than four hours of performances taking place across the afternoon and evening. Students learning with our private instrumental and vocal tutors were given the opportunity to perform for family and friends, showcasing the progress they have made through their lessons, practice and dedication. With such strong participation, performances were often running simultaneously in different spaces, creating a wonderful buzz around the College and making for a true musical marathon.
One of the great joys of the evening was seeing students of all ages and stages step up to perform. For some, it was their very first recital, while others took the opportunity to share more advanced repertoire. Regardless of experience, every performer demonstrated courage, commitment and a willingness to share their music with an audience.
A particular highlight was the performance by our Year 7 Band Class Program. Having only begun their instrumental journeys this term, students performed with enthusiasm and confidence, showcasing the tremendous growth they have made as an ensemble. Their performance was a wonderful reminder of how quickly students can develop when given the opportunity to learn and perform together.
Events such as these are an important part of a student’s musical journey. They provide authentic performance opportunities, encourage the development of confidence and resilience, and allow students to celebrate their achievements with those who support them.
Thank you to our dedicated music tutors for their expertise and encouragement, to families for their ongoing support, and most importantly to our students for sharing their talents with us. We are incredibly proud of all who performed and contributed to such a successful afternoon and evening of music.
