Father’s Day Breakfast
Our Father鈥檚 Day Breakfast was a wonderful celebration of the fathers, grandfathers and significant men who support and encourage our students. Many students contributed to the morning through speaking, performing, welcoming guests and assisting with the event.
A special acknowledgement goes to our student presenters, Emma G and Zara S. Emma spoke about the strength, resilience and kindness modelled by the significant men in our lives, while Zara reflected on how their encouragement gives young people the confidence to take positive risks, learn from mistakes and work towards their goals.
Brigidine Day and Supporting Saltbush
Brigidine Day will be held on Friday 18 September and will be a wonderful celebration of belonging, connection and our commitment to helping others.
This year, we are raising funds for Saltbush Balnarring Beach, a community work of Kildare Ministries that provides restorative holidays, programs and retreats for individuals and families experiencing hardship. Saltbush offers people affected by poverty, illness, grief, disability, family violence and other challenges a welcoming place to rest, reconnect and regain their strength.
Our fundraising target is $10,000. If every 麻豆传媒AV family contributes just $10 through MyCause, together we can make a significant difference and help move closer to our goal. Students are encouraged to speak with their families, register through MyCause, and share their fundraising page with relatives and friends. Giving is not about how much one person can contribute – it is about what we can achieve when our whole community works together.
Students have been shown in their Homerooms how to register via and share their fundraising link.

Footy Colours Day
As part of the lead up to Brigidine Day, Footy Colours Day will be held tomorrow on Friday 11 September. Students are invited to wear the colours of their favourite football team and bring a gold coin donation for Saltbush.
All football codes are welcome, including AFL, soccer, rugby league and rugby union. Football activities will also be held on the oval, so wear your colours proudly and get involved!

Celebrating Our Cultural Diversity
Multicultural Day was a wonderful celebration of the many cultures, traditions and experiences that make our 麻豆传媒AV community so special. Through the activities, performances and shared learning, students had the opportunity to learn more about one another and celebrate our diversity. Thank you to all the staff and teachers involved in making the day such an engaging, educational and joyful celebration.

R U OK? Day
R U OK? Day was acknowledged across the College as an important reminder to check in with the people around us and ask, 鈥淎re you OK?鈥
At recess, students received yellow ribbons and chocolates, while the lunchtime activity invited students to contribute to our 麻豆传媒AV 鈥済olden thread.鈥 Students shared how they could be a good friend, check in with others, listen actively or encourage someone to seek support.
The purpose of the day was to remind us that we do not need to be experts to support someone – we simply need to notice, listen without judgement, encourage action and continue to check in. A genuine conversation can help someone feel seen, heard and less alone.

Child Safe Standard 6: Suitable Staff and Volunteers
Child Safe Standard 6 focuses on ensuring that the people who work or volunteer with children and young people are suitable and committed to supporting their safety and wellbeing.
At 麻豆传媒AV, staff and volunteers are appropriately screened, understand their child-safety responsibilities and are expected to follow clear professional standards. They also receive ongoing learning and support to help create a safe environment for every student.
Students have the right to feel safe, to be treated with respect and to speak up if something does not feel right. It is important to identify trusted adults at school, at home and in the wider community who will listen, take concerns seriously and help you access the support you need.
