A Celebration of Culture Through Food

The talented Food Technology students, under the guidance of Ms Malignaggi and Ms Di Blasi, created a wonderful food extravaganza for the recent Multicultural Food Day. Delicious dishes inspired by countries including Japan, Ukraine, Italy and China were prepared and served to some very lucky staff members, who enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate and share in the many cultures represented within our community.

Many hours of planning, preparation and cooking went into making the day such a success. Congratulations to all of the students involved for their hard work, creativity and commitment in creating such a memorable shared lunch.

Reflecting on Learning Progress

The recent Learning Progress Meetings provided parents and students with a valuable opportunity to meet with subject teachers and discuss learning and progress within the classroom. As we move towards the final quarter of the school year, these conversations provide an important opportunity to reflect on the progress made since the beginning of the semester and celebrate achievements so far.

With Term 4 bringing the challenges of Semester 2 examinations, having these discussions now allows students to identify areas for improvement, set goals and consider the steps they can take to finish the year strongly. We hope these conversations will support students as they continue to build on their achievements throughout the remainder of the year.

A Creative Celebration of Book Week

In the lead-up to Book Week, budding authors came together for a day of creativity and imagination as part of the Write a Book in a Day Competition. Students were challenged to plan, write, illustrate and publish their very own book – all in just one day!

This activity transformed the Library into a hive of creativity as students put their ideas and talents to work. Awards were presented at the conclusion of Book Week, with the Middle Years Award going to a very talented group of Year 9 students.

Congratulations to Ashlee S, Ava M, Maria C, Alesia J, Avery-Evelyn K, Aimee W, Ruby Z and Matilda P. Their team, The Apple Trees, created the book Stuck With You.

Congratulations to the team on this wonderful achievement!
